Davis County Hospital Medical Associates Expands Clinic Hours
Bloomfield, IA –Davis County Hospital Medical Associates clinic is expanding its hours to improve access to clinic services. In addition to regular business hours, Haleigh Skaggs, Family Practice Nurse Practitioner will be starting to see patients outside of the usual 8am to 5pm business hours.
“As part of our commitment to the community, we are expanding hours of operation to include some evenings, a couple early mornings, and the lunch hour,” said Kirby Johnson, CEO, “We are expanding our hours to ensure we’re doing what we can to be there for our customers when they need us.”
Beginning Monday, April 18th the expanded clinic hours are as follows:
Clinic Hours
Monday 7:00am – 7:00pm
Tuesday 8:30am – 4:30pm
Wednesday 7:00am – 4:30pm
Thursday 8:00am – 7:00pm
Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
“It is important to us to be able to provide healthcare during non-working hours for patients who find it hard to come in during normal business hours,” said Haleigh Skaggs, “The change, which extends the hours to start earlier in the day, go later in the evening, including lunch hours, also provides opportunities for patients to receive care sooner rather than waiting two or three days.”
“We want patients to know that they are also able to make same-day appointments at Davis County Hospital Medical Associates,” said Carleena Brown, Rural Health Clinic Director, “the clinic offers same-day appointments for common illnesses – such as coughs, sore throat, earaches, and urinary tract infections.”
“It is our goal to move towards expanded clinic hours five days a week,” said Johnson, “It could be costly to expand access to the clinic if it goes unused, so we will make sure the demand is there before expanding hours to everyday Monday through Friday.”
