2025 Daisy Award Nominees & Winner

Honoring Extraordinary Nurses: The DAISY Award at Davis County Hospital & Clinics
At Davis County Hospital & Clinics, we believe in recognizing the compassion, dedication, and skill that our nurses bring to patient care every single day. One meaningful way we do this is through the prestigious DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.
🌼 What is the DAISY Award?
The DAISY Award is an international recognition program that honors the exceptional work nurses do for patients and families. Created by the DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, the award highlights nurses who go above and beyond in providing care marked by empathy, clinical excellence, and respect.
🌟 Celebrating Excellence at DCHC
Each year, patients, families, and coworkers have the opportunity to nominate a nurse who made a difference in their experience at DCHC. These heartfelt stories showcase the incredible impact our nurses have, not only through medical care but through their personal connections and unwavering support.
This year, we were proud to recognize all of our DAISY Award nominees—nurses who exemplify the very best in healthcare. Their dedication, compassion, and teamwork reflect the values we strive to uphold every day.
This year's nominees included: Cindy Engle, Jolee Fenton, Monika Gordy, Kayla Haroldson, Paige Helton, Laramie Jackson, Libby Kirkpatrick, Rachel Lames, Tasha Norton, Megan Smith, Brandy Summers, Melanie Townsend, and Sharon Wheeler.
🎉 Congratulations to Megan Smith, our 2025 DAISY Award Winner!
Megan’s kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern for her patients truly set her apart. She is a shining example of what it means to be a nurse at DCHC, and we are honored to have her on our team.
🙏 Thank You to All Our Nurses
While only one nurse receives the DAISY Award each year, every nurse at Davis County Hospital & Clinics plays a vital role in our mission to deliver exceptional care. Thank you for your tireless efforts, your compassionate hearts, and the healing you bring to so many.
