Direct Access

Patients now have direct access to Kincart Physical Therapy located at Davis County Hospital & Clinics. Direct access allows patients to receive an evaluation and treatment by a physical therapist without having to first receive a prescription or physician referral; patients are able to refer themselves. Direct access means better opportunities to provide cost effective and safe care to those who need it, when they need it.

Medical Based Fitness

Medical based fitness is a program that allows individuals the ability to improve their overall health and well being with exercise designed, progressed and supervised by medical professionals. A medical based fitness program bridges the gap between a person’s discharge from the hospital or physical therapy rehabilitation program and return to previous level of function and independent exercise. The fitness program offers both land based and aquatic exercise based programs all of which are supervised.

Aquatic Therapy

The aquatic therapy pool at Davis County Hospital & Clinics offers therapy patients a less painful rehabilitation option. Aquatic therapy is the process of directing therapeutic exercises in water. This form of therapy is designed for patients who may find traditional rehab too painful or stressful. The water provides a cushioning effect that protects the body from pounding and jarring movements. It also diminishes the affects of gravity allowing patients to move limbs easier, and reduces pain, relaxes muscles, improves flexibility and enhances cardiovascular fitness.  Aquatic Therapy is Ideal for Patients with:

  • Arthritis
  • Hip Replacement
  • Knee Replacement
  • Ankle/Leg Fractures
  • Strokes
  • Sports Injuries
  • Back Pain
  • Neck Pain
  • Rotator Cuff Injuries

Aquatic therapy is provided on a one on one basis and is personalized for each individual patient. For more information on how aquatic therapy can help you, call us at 641-664-7086.
