Kincart Physical Therapy Welcomes New Physical Therapist

Bloomfield, IA – Kincart Physical Therapy Services invites you to join them for an Open House to be held on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Kincart Physical Therapy Services located within Davis County Hospital at 509 N Madison. Tours will be given of the department highlighting the new occupational therapy rehab space as well as the rehab pool. Everyone is welcome to attend to enjoy refreshments, learn about the new programs being offered, and help them welcome a new addition to their team- Jacqueline Wells, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).

Jackie graduated summa cum laude in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Iowa State University. Several weeks later she began the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Iowa Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science. She graduated in December 2016 with the Judy Biderman Professionalism Award. Jackie has clinical experience in home health, acute care including orthopedic, cardio-pulmonary, and neuromuscular physical therapy, outpatient neuromuscular physical therapy including management of patients with progressive neurologic diseases such as Parkinson’s, ALS, MS, and outpatient orthopedic physical therapy with a heavy emphasis on manual therapy.

“We are very excited to welcome Jackie to our team, her advanced expertise and exceptional training from the University of Iowa Physical Therapy Program will be an asset to Davis County Hospital and community at large,” said Karen Sloan-Kincart, PT, LAT.

Kincart Physical Therapy Services is also excited to announce the addition of Occupational Therapy headed by occupational therapist Brenda Coram, OTR/L, and occupational therapy assistant Miranda Simmers, COTA. Between Brenda and Miranda, the combined team has over 25 years of occupational therapy experience. Occupational Therapy helps with rehabilitation and daily living needs including bath, dressing, eating, and other functions to return patients to an independent life.
